“Empowerment through education, policy, and labor rights”​

 Illinois Workers in Action (IWA) mission is to empower workers through education, organizing, policy, solidarity, worker power, develop leadership in the workplace, and offer resources to families and the community.

Programs

  • provides training on workplace issues cases such as wage theft, break and meal violations, discrimination, sexual harassment, and work-related injuries​

  • helps workers file complaints with authorities​

  • promotes collective empowerment to improve unjust work environments
